Michael Vaughan had already established himself as a technically fluent and composed batsman of the highest standard when he took over the England Test captaincy from Nasser Hussain in 2003.

But for all his outstanding strokeplay – and when Michael was on song there were few better batsmen in world cricket – he will be remembered most for capturing the hearts of the nation in leading England to their outstanding 2005 Ashes triumph.

Since retiring from playing Michael has gone on to become one of the sport’s most respected commentators.

Host for the evening is another English Cricket legend Graham Gooch who was one of the most prolific run makers top-flight cricket has ever seen. Graham will take a nostalgic look back on Michael’s illustrious career with numerous anecdotes along with Michael’s opinions on the current state of English Cricket and the game in general.

On the night there is also the chance to ask Michael and Graham lots of questions and to purchase some fantastic sporting memorabilia.
