Our Trevor
is a new and exciting musical coming to Yarm. Featuring a live band The Moondogs, the story was
written by local performer and dance teacher Samantha Moore.
Following the death of her father in 2019 she was led to write a
musical to honour his life, and the influence he had on many in the
Teesside area.

Trevor, born in Middlesbrough and brought up on
Ayresome Park Road home to Middlesbrough football club at the
time, his passion for the Boro was like nothing else, he followed them
up and down the country and never missed a match.
The story for the musical called Our Trevor is based around this true
story and also fantasy. 

It starts in the early 1960s when the Beatles burst onto the scene.
Things are not good at home as Trevor’s parents, Fred and Alice, are
about to separate and Fred doesn’t approve of Trevor’s love of the
Beatles and his passion for the 60s music.
There are many clashes between Trevor and his father but through it
all the one friend who Trevor relies on is his beloved dog, Kim. 

When
Trevor receives a letter from the legend that is Brian Clough Trevor,
overcome with emotion, falls asleep and goes into a dream, this is
the fantasy part of the musical and it’s a real contrast to the first act.
The first act, true to life, emotional and raw, the second act funny
and off the wall. 

Featuring a live band and professional actors from the local area, this
musical will make you laugh and cry and has something for everyone
