Information

Presented by Crime And Comedy Theatre Company as a radio play on stage, this tale of murder, mystery and horror is surely the greatest detective story ever told!
COLIN BAKER, will be playing Sherlock Holmes. Colin is of course known for his countless theatre and television appearances, but perhaps most famously for his starring roles in Doctor Who and The Brothers.
Joining him as Doctor Watson – and particularly appropriate for this radio-play-on-stage production – is TERRY MOLLOY, who for forty years played the infamous Mike Tucker in The Archers, the world's longest-running radio drama.
Also leading our star cast will be DEE SADLER, known for her numerous television roles, especially starring in All Creatures Great & Small and No Place Like Home.
The legend of the Hound Of The Baskervilles has haunted the Baskerville family for generations – none more so than Sir Charles Baskerville, who died in mysterious circumstances worthy of the legend.
This leads Doctor Mortimer to consult Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, in the hope of preventing the heir to the Baskerville estate, Sir Henry, from suffering the same fate. But the supernatural seems a very long way from 221B Baker Street…

However, once Holmes and Watson journey to isolated Baskerville Hall, the line between reality and the legend of the hound becomes blurred. Death, doom and myth surround them – what is the secret of the butler in the night, whose is the mysterious lantern that shines in the darkness, and what is it that stalks Dartmoor with murderous intent?

Will Holmes’ powers of deduction be able to solve the case of The Hound Of The Baskervilles – or will he become the latest victim of this hellish apparition?

Celebrating the 120th anniversary of the publication of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic detective novel, The Hound Of The Baskervilles is the most famous of Sherlock Holmes’ adventures.
