Information

Come and join former Essex and England Captain Graham Gooch; the most prolific run scorer that top-class cricket has ever seen.

Mr 333 will entertain you with tales of batting heroics during a twenty-year career which cemented him in the hearts of the nation and established him as one of the premier sportsmen of his generation.
Graham is one of only 25 players to have scored over 100 first-class centuries. After he retired in 1997, the statistician Robert Brooke calculated that he had scored 21,087 in one-day cricket at first-class level, which added to his 44,841 first class runs, put him ahead of Jack Hobbs.
A truly amazing achievement.

In 1991 Graham was awarded the OBE for his services to cricket in 1991. In all Graham led the England side 34 times and was captain in the 1992 World Cup final defeat by Pakistan. He played in two other World Cup finals in 1979 and 1987.

Graham was appointed an England selector in 1996 and held that position for four seasons.

In 2002 he was made Essex’s Head Coach and then accepted a wider role within the club in 2005. More recently Graham has been the England batting coach, starting his role on a part-time basis in 2009 and moving into a full-time position from 2012 to 2014.
There will be an auction and raffle with some great prizes up for grabs and the opportunity to ask Graham questions and to purchase some fantastic memorabilia.
We have a pre-event signing and photo session for you to meet Graham at only £35* which includes meeting Graham prior to the main show, receiving a memento of the evening (which Graham can sign) plus an opportunity to have your photograph taken with Graham.
With only a limited number of these tickets available and to avoid disappointment it’s important to book now for what promises to be a fantastic night of entertainment for all sport enthusiasts.
(*booking fee applies)

Sadly, once this is full we aren’t able to allocate anymore, so early booking is advisable.
Please note for wheelchair access we will only allocate the wheelchair user and another person in this row. If your party is larger than two, then you will be required to purchase tickets elsewhere in the auditorium or as close to this area where possible.
